It's that time of year and the Park has reopened for 2026. Ben and his crew have the Park looking beautiful again and most activities like buoy and kayak reservations are well underway. Check out the website or your account on the portal to get up to date on any of this.
Our Annual Meeting is going to be before the Fourth of July this year. We will hold the meeting at the Park on the 27th of June at 11:00am and spend an hour (or so) going over Park activities, finances and preparation for the holiday weekend. We look forward to seeing you there.
We are also holding a special Town Meeting on May 31st at the Park at 10am to hear member ideas and attitudes on our current Guest Policy. The Board is hoping to get more input from a wide variety of you on what problems exist and ideas on how to fix them.
We continue to send out e-mails where important information needs to be communicated. The portal continues to operate all year so if you have any updates to your contact information, please make those.
As we have in the past four years, we are improving member procedures that take advantage of the website and portal we have in place. New this year are:
An annual renewal for members: Each primary member will be asked to sign an online document that includes the Code of Conduct for all their authorized members. They will also be asked to re-verify each member (user) who is listed for their property. We will do this each year to reinforce who should be permitted to have access to the Park and ensure that members use proper Park conduct.
Online payment of Annual Assessments: This year will be the second time where members have the option to pay their assessment online. Members can use either credit card or check to make their payments.
Buoy Rental: The half season buoy application is entirely online now. Members are able to go to their dashboard and indicate their entry into the future drawing for either half of the 2026 season. Annual Assessments and Special Assessments must be paid and Code of Conduct signed before proceeding to the buoy application. March 31 is the last day for applying and the lottery selection will be April 4th at 10am. Participants will be notified of the results and buoy assignment following the selection process. An invoice will be generated which must be paid in the week that follows the election. Failure to pay will result in forfeiting of the buoy.
As most of you know we have re-done our key/entry system and remind you of our basics in use. Key cards issued are your permanent cards and do NOT need to be replaced each season. Lost cards are $75 to replace. During the season (May through October) the staff can assist you in setting up either your mobile phone or cards for entry.
As a refresher on the features of this website/portal, here is a brief list:
Enter and maintain member profile information
Make important forms available (for example for reserving buoys or kayak storage)
Reserve picnic tables and watercraft storage through our online reservation system
Receive news regarding Park operations or key events
Availability of key documents for member review (policies, by-laws and board minutes)
Communicate with staff and Board
Accounts need to be paid if full before access to reserving kayaks, buoys, and picnic tables
Important Note: Please make sure your account information is up to date and complete. It is the way we can communicate with you regarding what's new at the Park. If you are not getting e-mails from us, you may want to see if your e-mail address is correct and up to date.
